TRIP DESCRIPTIONS AND PREFERENCES
Please read the descriptions and list below your top choice(s) in the text box below. Trip leaders will contact applicants based on interest noted below and will select SERVE team participants based on individual meetings with trip participant candidates.
The costs for the trips cover travel, lodging, meals, the activities listed below and a S.E.R.V.E. t-shirt and sweatshirt. The costs participants will pay are listed below.
Vietnam
; Thursday 5/12/16 to Sunday May 22 2016 (11 day trip). This group will enjoy a tour of Hanoi City, then travel to Ba Vi to volunteer at the Thuy An Center. Volunteering tasks may include teaching English for children, assisting nurses in the physical rehabilitation room, preparing nutritional meals and some light construction work such as painting classrooms, renovating function rooms, etc. This is an exciting to trip to experience Vietnam while serving others. Cost is $2040; participating students pay $1530.
Virginia;
Monday 5/2/16 to Friday 5/6/16 (5 day trip). This group will travel to Virginia Beach to build a "reflection" garden at Lake Taylor Hospital in Norfolk, a long term care facility and includes opportunities to interact with site staff and clients as well as with fellow Saint Leo University students from the Virginia Beach Center. Cost is $674; students pay $505.50.

Please use the contact form on this website for any clarification/additional information you need about trips prior to applying. The SERVE Committee will contact applicants on an ongoing basis to confirm trip participation based on space availability on trip and submission date, as well as the student's continuing interest.

I understand that if I am selected for an international trip that I will have sole responsibility for all travel documentation (passport/visa/immunizations) for the country I am visiting and the dates of travel.
